- I believe that couples of the same sex have the right to marriage and the legal rights associated with marriage as any other heterosexual couple has. Religion should not play a part in marriage, given that many people believe differently. One religion cannot have sway over the general public and what things they are allowed to do; it’s almost a subtle attempt at dicatorship through religion, specifically the Christian faith.
- The Enviroment is precious and deserves more attention than it seems to be receiving. We live on this planet and if we wish for our children and future children to live, something needs to happen now. If we don’t create a change, we’ll regret it.
- Animals of all shapes and sizes should be respected – they are living creatures. Avoid harming them or killing them if you can; capture them and let them go outside of your home or place if they’re really bothering you. If you absolutely can’t avoid stomping them into the floor, at least apologize when you do. Even better would be if you killed them more humanely, like gently squashing them with a napkin or something.
- Abortion is something I personally couldn’t do. It’s too disturbing and I do feel that it’s the death of a life. However, I stand by the title of Pro-Choice because I don’t believe that the government should have the right to tell every woman what she can do with her body.
- Anti-war all the way; death is all around us and it’s unavoidable but no one should have to suffer in warfare, especially since that war may end but yet another one will develop yet again. Violence should not be the first or second or third way of dealing with a crisis. By responding to the violence of another country with more violence, we only perpetuate it. Be the big kid, America – show the little chickies how mature you are.
I stand by the things I believe in. I’m not afraid to be judged by people because I couldn’t care less what others think of me. As long as I’m confident in myself and in what I can do, my concern is only to press forward and strive for better and better than what I’ve previously shown of myself. However, I choose to surround myself with people who either agree with me or gently oppose but respect my opinion.
